An annual plant grown for its tasty eye-catching leaves, they are often compared to spinach in taste. Easy to grow and has a longer harvest time than spinach. The reddish leaves are excellent added to mixed salads. Also known as “Mountain Spinach”. Sow seeds mid-Spring 1/4-1/2” deep 2-4” apart, and thin to about 12-18” apart when they start to crowd each other. We like to start in pots and transplant out.
