We started growing this variety about ten years ago after almost giving up with snap peas. They are amazing to eat when they do well, but so many varieties are, frankly, lame. Amish Snap changed our minds. It leaps out of the ground, and keeps on going to finally produce heaps of 3” snap peas that are wonderful. Honestly, they aren’t quite as tasty as sugar snap, but are way easier to grow, which more than makes up for that one minor thing. Anyone who has tried them always comes back for more. Now if we can just encourage people to save some seeds…
