Looseleaf. French heirloom variety with long oakleaf-shaped leaves. Olive-green at the base tinting to reddish bronze at the tips. Very pretty and tender too.

Lettuce prefers growing in the cooler spring and fall seasons. Direct sow in April, or start inside in March and transplant out.
