Stinging Nettle

CA$4.50

Urtica dioica. Often known as common nettle, or stinging nettle. If you have an out of the way area that is moist this can be a great perennial plant to have in your yard. One of the first greens to be abundant in the spring and after a summer rest period it comes back in the fall with renewed growth— at least here on the West Coast. Pick the leaves with gloves as the sting can be a bit of an irritant. The sting disappears once the leaves are cooked. Lots of medicinal uses as well. Barely cover the tiny seed in pots and water in. Keep moist and be patient; the seeds may take three weeks to sprout. Approx 200seeds/packet.
