Don’t let this terrible photo turn you off! This is an excellent heirloom variety that has stood the test of time. Mild flavoured, easy to grow, good raw or cooked. Best harvested at 2-3”. As you can see from the photo, the tops are robust, and many people enjoy them cooked in soups and stews.

Sow ¼” deep, several seeds/foot and thin to a few inches apart, or start inside and transplant out. Best grown in early spring to midsummer, and again in late summer for a fall/ winter crop.
